MG Meets Santa

So...it's that time of year again where parents torture their children to sit with a funny-looking old man with a beard!  And yes...we did it again.  Last year MG was very uninterested to say the least.  I'm not even sure she opened her eyes, being she was only 3 weeks old!  This year, however, was a very different story!  She wanted NOTHING to do with that old man!  She mainly stood at a distance and watched his every move.  We did attempt to sit her in his lap and she squeeled, like only MG does, and proceeded to make her best, "Why are you doing this to me?" face!! Here are a few shots to commemorate the Holiday! We can only hope next year we will do better!!
MG's First Santa Pic EVER!

"I'm ok...as long as I'm just watching him."

"NO!....Please don't do this to me!"

"Who IS this man?? And why is he holding me?"

Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
Love,
Marvin, Sarah & Mary Grayson

Mary Grayson Turns ONE!

Yes...I'm a little late on this post too! But better late than never, right?  I'm amazed at just how fast a year flies by.  Just one year ago we were a family of two...and then came MG!  We couldn't be more blessed by her presence.  She lights us up! I like to think she is the best part of me and the best part of Marvin combined!  We have celebrated her birthday ALL month long.  She had 3, yes 3, smash cakes, one PINK party, and lots of loving family to celebrate with her!
We were in Jackson for Caroline's last volleyball game, so Aunt Anna made MG a cake!

Thanks to everyone for making Mary Grayson's birthday special!! We are so very thankful for her and feel blessed beyond measure to have friends and family that love our little girls as much as we do!!

Thanksgiving 2011

I know it's been awhile since I've blogged! To be honest...life has just gotten in the way.  The month of November proved to be a busy busy month for us and I just didn't have a free second to sit at the computer!  So...let me catch you up!
Every other year Marvin's extended family gets together to celebrate the holidays.  Two years ago we all went to Dallas to Marvin's uncle's home!  We had such a great time! So this year...Marvin's sweet Aunt and Uncle in Dallas decided to host us all AGAIN!! It was an easy trip for us...especially with a baby! Mary Grayson had a great 1st Thanksgiving visiting with all of her cousins!

MG's First Halloween

I have to say Mary Grayson's first Halloween was a huge success!!  Not only did she have TWO, yes two, different costumes, but she won the cutest costume at her Little Gym Halloween party!  She went to two different pumpkin patches, posed with the pumpkins her Mommy and Daddy carved, and even got to eat just a few pieces of candy.

All smiles at the Pumpkin Patch

1 More Month 'Til ONE!!

Mary Grayson is 11 months old today! I can hardly believe a year is around the corner!  This truly has been the best year of our lives and we are trying to enjoy every last second of it!!
My "almost one year old!!"

For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting our sweet MG yet...you are in for a real treat!!
SHE IS INTO EVERYTHING!!!!
She is WALKING!!!
-wearing size 3 diapers and 12 month clothes
-STILL NO TEETH!
-takes 1 morning and 1 evening bottle
-loves banging things together & opening and closing doors
-took her first trip to the zoo
-went on another plane ride (to New Orleans)
-still loves to yell...I think she likes to see how loud she can be!
-about 23 lbs
-tried PB&J for the first time and LOVED IT!!! (there is nothing the child won't eat!!!)
-saves her best smiles for her Daddy
-plays so well with other little kids
-did a flip over the high bar at the Little Gym!

Mary Grayson truly is a joy and we couldn't be more thankful for her!  Our little monthly photo shoots have gotten progressively tougher since our princess is more mobile!! So here are a few for your enjoyment!

Old MacDonald's Farm

Ever since we moved to the Humble/Kingwood area Marvin and I have wanted to go to Old MacDonald's Farm!  It just looked like so much fun, but never really had an excuse to go until MG arrived!  Here are a few pics from our trip!
Looking at the baby goats...from a distance!

The animals would come up and eat out of your hands...or MG's lap!
She got to pick out a pumpkin to take home!

Sweet church friends with their pumpkins!

With her pumpkin and ready to go home for a nap!
I think Mary Grayson had a great time!  She loved watching all the animals and all the other kids running around!  She was asleep before we got home and took at 2.5 hour nap to recover from our busy morning at the farm!!!
